BearFlix's Theater utilizes a limited version of Windows Media™ player to allow you to preview and/or play video files you have downloaded, or are currently downloading. You have the ability to view video files while continuing to use BearFlix, without the need to launch another application. A major advantage of this feature is the ability to preview large video files for suitability with regard to quality and content, thus allowing you to terminate the download should the file be corrupted or otherwise unsuitable.

Setup
You will need to indicate how you want Theater to handle your files. To do this, go to Setup > Options.
Go to the Preview section, and choose one of the three options, then click 'OK' to finish:

What each option does:
- Whenever possible: Choosing this option will use the Theater to preview video files whenever you click Play in the Downloads, Uploads or Library window.
- For video playback only: This will allow video files to be previewed in the Theater.
- Never: This option deactivates the Theater player for all file types. With this option selected, whenever you click the Play button in the Downloads, Uploads or Library window, the default players on your system will be used.
Note: Windows Media Player™ does not support all video formats. If a message appears stating that Windows Media Player ™ does not support the file type which you are trying to preview, return to Setup>Options, select "Never" and press OK. 'Play', when pressed again, will attempt to play the file using your default media player for that file type. for more information about fixing video playing problems read our video FAQ.

Some things to know about the theater
- While downloading any size file you should allow at least 10-20% of the file to complete before previewing. This will allow enough time for you to view more then just the first few seconds of a file, helping you make a better decision on whether or not to continue with the download.
- Another feature of the Theater is the disabling of pop-ups found in some file formats so you will see nothing but the file content itself.
- Full screen mode is not supported in Theater. With other players, like the full feature version of Windows Media Player", you have the option of viewing a file in full-screen mode. The output displayed in Theater is designed primarily as a preview aid and not as a stand-alone media player.
- If you are viewing a video file that is currently downloading, the playback may stop when the player reaches the end of the portion of the file that had completed when the preview was activated. If you would like to play more of the file, click on the Play button on the Downloads screen again and play will begin again from the start of the file. Hint: The longer you allow the download to continue (higher percentage completed) the longer the file will play for you.
- If you preview a video file and nothing is displayed, allow more of the download to complete and try again. If you continue to get no displayed results, it is up to you to decide if you wish to continue downloading.
- The name of the current file in the Media™ player buffer is listed in the lower left corner below the Theater pane.
